4 Year Anniversary Today

June 19, 2009 | Filed Under News | No Comments

It’s been 4 years since the Mad Beat Factory show came to be.  It doesn’t really seem like it has been that long, but it definitely has been 4 whole years now.  I nearly forgot all about it.  The show has gone through so many changes, such as where the show takes place, the type of music played, MBC’s state of mind, podcast and not podcast, having a cohost at one point, used to be only audio and now its audio and video, and used to never be able to take phone calls and now that I can take phone calls nobody calls.  But some of the things that have never changed are: (1) MBC is the only person that does this show — yes some have tried to fake the funk and do imitations of this show but no one does it better than me; (2) MBC is still loud as hell, sings badly, laughs too much, and sounds drunk even when he’s not; (3) MBC is still a mediocre DJ with a huge music collection; and (4) the show has always been on late at night, and in fact, the later its on, the better it is.  I know some of you have been hoping for a podcasted version of the show to return, and I’m hoping to provide that for you starting with this weekends shows.  To kick off the anniversary, this weekend’s shows are going to be strictly old school hip hop since MBC had his start as a hip hop DJ, I thought it would be fun to stick to that for the two shows.

And just in case you did not notice, the blogs have been updated recently!!  I guess this extra time off work allowed King Skullie the time to get things done for once.

In other news, it looks like it may indeed be the end for Douchecast.  On Wednesday’s episode, Biff announced he would be leaving.  Without getting into specifics, it didn’t go over well and was announced at the end that THAT particular show, would be the last episode.  Well what the hell is MBC gonna do with all this newfound freetime on his hand??  UGH!

Fucking Imposters

July 27, 2008 | Filed Under News, Opinion | No Comments

You know, it is nice to have fans or people that appreciate the work that you do.  I don’t have many or any fans for that matter, but yeah some people do tell me they like what I do and seeing as some people listen to my show on a regular basis, I guess that says something.  Of course I don’t do what I do for fame or riches.  I do it because its fun and because it gives me a creative outlet to do whatever I want.  I would say that idea of the MadBeatFactory came about nearly 11 years ago…

Yes its been around a long time.  In fact, it started as simply the name I gave to my simple DJ setup, two turntables, two CD players, and two cassette decks, all connected to a mixer.  It was where I began to develop my style and my affinity for experimentation with sound.  And when I had found my first little piece of web property on a website like Geocities, well the Mad Beat Factory, almost became something tangible.  But not really, as it was just a simple ugly text webpage with nothing to it.   Of course, a few years later when I used the small bit of WEBSPACE given to me by my ISP, which was connected with my online identity, the Mad Beat Factory Turnt(L)able (read as turntable lab) was born.  This was a definite online presence that was seen by a few people, but it was not until April 24, 2005, that the Mad Beat Factory found the place it now calls home, where everyone can now find it…yes right here at MadBeatFactory.com

And since that day, this website has grown into…whatever this mess is.  But right now, that is not the matter at hand.  The matter at hand today is…FUCKING IMPOSTERS.  Yes, someone has used MY website name, my studio name, my idea…and they used it for their own lame purposes.  What am I talking about???

This fucking PUD right here.  Get the fuck outta here with that stupid pose.  Just cuz you used a lowecase “z” doesn’t mean you can use my fucking name, idea, my creation, to become your identity.  Geez, at least improve the look of your shitty ass website.

PUDmaster extraordinaire

Like always remember this one thing.   IABTYAIAWB!

TP Ex Radio

The last episode of the Mad Beat Factory on TPXRadio.com will be heard Friday, February 29, 2008.  That’s right its Leap Day on the Leap Year as TPXradio makes the leap to ubroadcast.com.  What exactly does this mean?  I have no idea other than that TPXRadio.com will be no more after this show.  So will there be a show on March 1, 2008?  Not likely and if so, it will be heard right here on the Mad Beat Factory.  You can click the Chatroom button above to listen.  So whether Mad Beat Chemist will continue on as a part of the ubroadcast network remains to be seen at this point.  But just realize that TPXRadio is saying byebye for good.  One of the things about the new ubroadcast network is the possibly to make money if a contract is negotiated.  Regardless of how nice it would be to get paid for doing a show, it has honestly never been a goal of mine as far as this show goes.  I do this show as a hobby and a time killer because I do not care for going out and wasting money every weekend because thats an even more fruitless venture than what I am doing here every weekend.  Anyhow, one of the things that may be happening now though is that I may stop doing two shows a weekend.  It’s becoming rather burdensome to do two shows a week.  It’s just hard for me to decide on which day I would rather keep, Friday or Saturday.  Oh well I shall give it some thought, and who knows, I may continue with both days afterall.  By the way bitches, King Skully says “Fuck you!”

The Douche is OUT!!

December 21, 2007 | Filed Under Adam Carolla, News, Opinion | No Comments

According to a CBS press release issued this morning at 6:30am, the Adam Carolla Show has been re-newed for another year and will begin with new episodes beginning January 2nd, 2008. The positive side of this news for Carolla fans…no Bonaduce!!!

I can’t begin to describe how excited I am to hear this news after being in limbo for the past week wondering what the fate of the show was going to be since Adam mysteriously disappeared from the show. All of the speculation going on at the official Adam Carolla message boards was hitting the nail right on the head and when CBS shut down the official message board, the Unofficial boards became the new home for listeners. Well thanks to everyone over at The Un-Official Adam Carolla Message Boards, we found the information we had been speculating so much about over the past week and this morning can now rejoice that the DOUCHE will no longer be a part of the show. Unfortunately for us Los Angeles listeners who listen on KLSX 97.1 FM, The Douche will remain as a part of the station with his own hour long show during the 2pm to 3pm shift. He will be filling up the timeslot that has normally been the first hour replay of the Frosty, Heidi, and Frank show. Well, I’m certain to hear parts of his show occasionally as I tend to turn the radio back on at about 3PM to listen to Leykis. Oh well, we didn’t totally rid ourselves of the Douche, but this is better than him ruining my beloved Adam Carolla Show.

The Douche is killing TACS

December 14, 2007 | Filed Under Adam Carolla, News, Opinion | No Comments

This is purely speculation on my part, but I have been under the belief that The Adam Carolla Show is about to come to an end very soon. The Aceman has not been on the live show for the past two shows, supposedly having called in sick, and if you’ve listened to Adam Carolla for any length of time, you’d know he does not call in sick…EVER! My speculation is based mostly on the obvious tension there is between Adam and his sidekick Danny Bonaduce (The Douche). Danny Bonaduce is the baseball bat in the in spokes of Adam’s rants. Adam regulary builds up a joke or a story and before he is able to finish, The Douche adds his two cents and and completely derails everything the Aceman does, thereby making the show not fun to listen to when the Douche is there. This week, the tension was obvious and having heard nothing about Adam’s contract being renewed, I believe he is staging a protest of sorts. That until The Douche is off his show, I think the Aceman does not want to renew his contract with CBS radio. The reason that it seems something may be afoot is that, although Carolla called in sick to his own show, he called into his former co-host and friend’s show The Dr. Drew Pinsky show. He was on the air Drew for an hour and he did not sound the least bit “sick” but maybe he was just “sick of the Douche.” The past two days of the show with Danny Bonaduce at the helm have been the single worst radio shows I have ever heard. The shows were so bad, that the listeners who frequent the Adam Carolla message boards, came up with a new term to describe the show…”turdbortion.” I believe that this very well may spell the end of the Adam Carolla Show as we know it. I guess this remains to be seen at this point. Hopefully we find out something soon, but since the show is on Christmas break after today until the beginning of January, we may not know for a few more weeks.

UPDATE : As of Monday December 17, 2007, there is a lot more speculation going around as the official Adam Carolla Show message board has now been permanently disabled. All posts and users have been deleted and the board is now closed. At this point, its difficult to speculate too much on what is going on, but there is definitely something strange brewing behind the scenes. Hope we can hear some official news on this soon as waiting until January 2nd is too long to wait.
