It’s been 4 years since the Mad Beat Factory show came to be.  It doesn’t really seem like it has been that long, but it definitely has been 4 whole years now.  I nearly forgot all about it.  The show has gone through so many changes, such as where the show takes place, the type of music played, MBC’s state of mind, podcast and not podcast, having a cohost at one point, used to be only audio and now its audio and video, and used to never be able to take phone calls and now that I can take phone calls nobody calls.  But some of the things that have never changed are: (1) MBC is the only person that does this show — yes some have tried to fake the funk and do imitations of this show but no one does it better than me; (2) MBC is still loud as hell, sings badly, laughs too much, and sounds drunk even when he’s not; (3) MBC is still a mediocre DJ with a huge music collection; and (4) the show has always been on late at night, and in fact, the later its on, the better it is.  I know some of you have been hoping for a podcasted version of the show to return, and I’m hoping to provide that for you starting with this weekends shows.  To kick off the anniversary, this weekend’s shows are going to be strictly old school hip hop since MBC had his start as a hip hop DJ, I thought it would be fun to stick to that for the two shows.

And just in case you did not notice, the blogs have been updated recently!!  I guess this extra time off work allowed King Skullie the time to get things done for once.

In other news, it looks like it may indeed be the end for Douchecast.  On Wednesday’s episode, Biff announced he would be leaving.  Without getting into specifics, it didn’t go over well and was announced at the end that THAT particular show, would be the last episode.  Well what the hell is MBC gonna do with all this newfound freetime on his hand??  UGH!

I have spent the past two days just downloading “stuff,” making little ditties on the Nintendo DS, and…well I think thats about all I have been doing.  I do mean thats literally all I was doing ALL DAY LONG.  Well neither of those things are in the plans for today at all, because today, I can finally get back to doing normal things that don’t require me sitting down all day long.  What a great feeling that is.  It’s such a great feeling, I turned my twitter off for now.  Hahaha!!  I know it will be back on in an hour or so, but its the principal of it all.

Ahh shit its raining, thundering and lightning outside.  What a horrible horrible day.

I love having high speed internet!!!!  Just wish my upload speed was higher, but oh well!

Okay so I guess I have gotten busy, and forgot to update the website, update the blogs, update the podcasts…hell, I haven’t even really done the show as much recently.  And now I have all kinds of time, nothing but time, to do all these things.  Well, I have been working on a lot of projects during this time, so even though it looks like im doing nothing here, I am actually getting a lot of things done because I am doing one thing at a time.  I find that works out much better for me than working on 20 different projects at once.  I have at least one show that I would like to upload for the podcast, but the rest of the shows since last November, well I’m not too happy with most of those shows and so the majority of those I do not think I will be posting.

One thing I want to inform you of, is that I was asked to do my show on TPSradio.net.  As you may remember, that is the old flagship station of the Mad Beat Factory and it would be an honor to come back to be a part of that station once again.  However, I really don’t know exactly how that is going to work yet and its part of the reason that although I have agreed to return, I have not started broadcasting there just yet.  So this weekend, the show should definitely be broadcast from MadBeatFactory.com as always.

In case you missed it, there was an impromptu Sunday night show of the MBF, 4 hours of mostly 80’s music.  Just for the hell of it.  Well that and the fact that I failed to do a show on Friday or Saturday this past weekend.  Well, I guess thats all for now.  I’ll try to make some updates for the podcast and blogs very soon…I promise.

Okay there should be some site updates soon…and regularly from now on.  The blogs will be updated, the podcasts will be uploaded, and blah blah blah.  Sorry that I haven’t updated much for a while.  I’ve been doing a lot of rebuilding of the Mad Beat Factory studio so I can get back to work on music, making podcasts, doing live shows, and now…updating my blogs with some of my favorite albums.  I hope you enjoy.

Wow I guess that Asinthe really fucked me up since I didn’t post the later results of what happened that night.  LOL  Oh well, I don’t even remember now and I can’t try to guess what happened.  Anyways, thats a story for another time…there is still about 3/4 of that bottle left…HAHAHAH

So it’s 8pm on a Tuesday night.  I have prepared myself a glass of Absinthe.  I guess we shall see where this takes me.  It has a very strong licorice odor.  Im not a big fan of that odor.  However, I love me some Jagermeister. So maybe it won’t be all that bad.  Well here we go!

You know, Martin Luther King Jr day used to be celebrated on Martin Luther Kings actual birthday.  When I was in elementary school, it was always celebrated on the actual day, and that was the actual day we used to get off from school.  What happened to those days??  What’s this bullshit with observing it several days later?  Fuck that.  When its someone’s birthday, you need to celebrate it on that day…not days later.  I’m protesting MLK day.

Word has it that there are some Blogspots around the way that have MP3’s that you can download.  Apparently, King Skullie started this and has a couple of them started up and will be adding to them as time goes on.  So far one is dedicated to DUBs and the other to old school Hip Hop so those should be pretty interesting.  It will also be interesting to see what other ideas Skullie has up his…errr sleeves??  Does he even have arms?

Yes it’s yet another post about food!  I love Christmas time because its about the only time that I ever get to eat tamales.  Tamales are one of my favorite Mexican foods to eat.  But of course I have no idea how to make them and so I must rely on others to do so.  But see when I was a kid, I remember going to my grandmas house and she would always send us home with a bag of tamales at Christmas time.  Then as we got older, my mom found a place where she could buy tamales and they were really good too.  Now I know a couple who know how to make tamales and I try try try to get them to make me tamales…but it just never works out.  And the place I used to buy them from, is no longer in business.  Well last year the biggest surprise ever happened.  This little messican lady knocks on my door at about 9 in the morning on Christmas day.  “Ju like tamales???”  “HELL YES!!!”  And she handed me a bag of tamales.  I’ll tell you what, that was the best present I got last year…well that and a card covered in glitter which I will cherish for the rest of my life…(but thats another story).  So anyhow, I just received a delivery of a dozen tamales from mom, because she found someone who knows how to make them and sells them.  So we got some really good homemade tamales here in the Mad Beat Factory this year.  I just ate 4 and I am super happy!!!  If you want some Christmas tamales…I’ll hook you up for next year!!  Just let me know!  LOL
