4 Year Anniversary Today
June 19, 2009 | Filed Under News | No CommentsIt’s been 4 years since the Mad Beat Factory show came to be. It doesn’t really seem like it has been that long, but it definitely has been 4 whole years now. I nearly forgot all about it. The show has gone through so many changes, such as where the show takes place, the type of music played, MBC’s state of mind, podcast and not podcast, having a cohost at one point, used to be only audio and now its audio and video, and used to never be able to take phone calls and now that I can take phone calls nobody calls. But some of the things that have never changed are: (1) MBC is the only person that does this show — yes some have tried to fake the funk and do imitations of this show but no one does it better than me; (2) MBC is still loud as hell, sings badly, laughs too much, and sounds drunk even when he’s not; (3) MBC is still a mediocre DJ with a huge music collection; and (4) the show has always been on late at night, and in fact, the later its on, the better it is. I know some of you have been hoping for a podcasted version of the show to return, and I’m hoping to provide that for you starting with this weekends shows. To kick off the anniversary, this weekend’s shows are going to be strictly old school hip hop since MBC had his start as a hip hop DJ, I thought it would be fun to stick to that for the two shows.
And just in case you did not notice, the blogs have been updated recently!! I guess this extra time off work allowed King Skullie the time to get things done for once.
In other news, it looks like it may indeed be the end for Douchecast. On Wednesday’s episode, Biff announced he would be leaving. Without getting into specifics, it didn’t go over well and was announced at the end that THAT particular show, would be the last episode. Well what the hell is MBC gonna do with all this newfound freetime on his hand?? UGH!
